10 a.m. Kayak Trip: Paddle your way into the past along part of the parks natural coast line. Then, take a walk on Fossil Beach and look for a relic from the past. $25 for a tandem kayak, $20 for a solo, $10 for a tagalong (bring your own). Children ages 6-12 must be accompanied by an adult in a tandem kayak; no children under 6 or pets. Kayaks are sit-in and beginner- friendly. Paddles and jackets provided. It is about a 3 mile paddle. We suggest bringing sunglasses, gloves, sunscreen, water, snack, and waterproof gear. Expect to get a little wet. Spaces are limited. Please contact the Visitor Center to sign-up.

1 p.m. Hiking Packs: Ever wonder what you should carry with you while your hiking? Stop by the Discover Center to learn what park rangers carry in their packs to help them in the wilderness.

3 p.m. Fire Starting: No matches? No Lighter? Not problem. Join us at the Discovery Center to learn about the alternative ways to start a fire.

6 p.m. Campfire Cookery: Join us at the Discovery Center as we whip up a tasty treat over the campfire. You will learn many ways to cook over a campfire and learn the proper way to use a Dutch Oven. This program is $5/person. Contact the Visitor Center to sign-up.
