Details:
Buzzard Day is an annual event organized by the Friends of Makoshika, in cooperation with Makoshika State Park. The purpose of the event is to involve the community in the park by encouraging participation in outdoor activities. Buzzard Day is scheduled for the second Saturday in June of each calendar year. Many exciting activities are offered, such as, the 10k, 5k, Fun WalkRun and Kid's Run. Miss Montana 2007, Kristen Mantooth, will be present to announce winners and handout prizes for the Buzzard Day Runs. Other activities include kite flying, music, entertainment, hikes, food, and prizes. This year's event will conclude with a musical performance at our ampitheater provided by the North Dakota bluegrass band, Cotton Wood.
