Details:
The 30 minute Dickens™ Lowell walking tour will visit the sites that would have been familiar to Charles Dickens, who visited the city in 1842 on his world tour. So impressed was he of Lowell, that a whole chapter of American Notes was devoted to the city. This summer, the Dickens™ Lowell walking tour allows visitors to walk the very same streets and see the same sites Dickens™ himself saw over 150 years ago. Afterward, a visit to the Boott Cotton Mills Museum and Boott Gallery you can see the exhibit Charles Dickens in Massachusetts which highlights Charles Dickens complete American tour. Artifacts from area and international museums are together for the first time in one location to tell the story of his extraordinary visit.
